Some of these are National level entrance exams after 12th and some are state level entrance exams after 12th . • NIFT Entrance
  National Institute of Fashion Technology NIFT with campuses in Delhi, Bangaluru, Chennai, Bhopal, Gandhi Nagar, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, RaeBareli, Shillong, Kangra, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar conducts entrance test for admission to its various bachelors program. For B Design ( In Accessory Design, Fashion Communication, Fashion Design, Knitwear Design, Leather Design, Textile Design ) . In all there are 1530 seats and 30 seats in each discipline at various NIFT centres in the UG program. 20% supernumerary seats in addition to 30 seats are offered as state domicile preferential seats to candidates who belong to following states where these NIFT campuses are located ie Patna ( Bihar), Kangra ( HP), Kannur ( Kerala), Bhopal ( MP), Shillong ( Meghalaya) Bhubaneshwar ( Orissa) and Jodhpur ( Rajasthan). NIFT takes General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT) and Situation test.
  
  For B.F Tech Student have to appear in GAT test.
  
  GAT Test Components : The general Ability test assesses the students on Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability and GK and Current Affairs.
  CAT: Creative Ability Test assesses the intuition skill, power of observation, innovation in development of a concept and design ability of a candidate.
  
  Situation Test: This test is a hands on test to evaluate the skill for material handling and innovative ability on a given situation with a given set of materials.
  
  Eligibility: Students who have passed class 10+2 with any stream are eligible for the test and 23 years is the maximum age to apply for Bachelor Program.
  NIFT Admissions : Important Dates: The registrations open in the month of October and last date to apply for NIFT Entrance / Admission is 31st December every year. The written test for all UG and PG programs is done in January . and the Situation Test/ GD / Interview in April / May . NRI candidates can get admission on the basis of SAT 1 scores and online registrations for Foreigners / NRI / SAARC are open till 30th April .
  
  
• NID Ahmadabad, Vijaywada, Kurukshetra Admissions
  National Institute of Design Ahmadabad conducts 2 stage Design Aptitude Test for admission to its 4 year B Design program offered at Ahmadabad and M Design program at Ahmadabad, Bengaluru and Gandhi Nagar and 4 year GDPD programme at NID Vijaywada and NID Kurukshetra. GDPD at NID Bhopal and NID Jorhat. .
  
  NID Entrance test is a two step process. Stage 1 is Design Aptitude Test Prelims which is conducted at various test centres all across India. Stage 2 is Design Aptitude Test Mains which will be conducted at NID's campuses in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru or Gandhinagar. The test is conducted for 100 seats of B design at Ahmadabad, 60 seats of NID Vijaywada ( Offers UG program in Industrial Design, Communication Design, Textile and Apparel Design) and 60 seats at NID Kurukshetra (Offers UG program in Industrial Design, Communication Design, Textile and Apparel Design).
  
  Upper age limit for candidates is 20 years.
  Important Dates NID Admissions : The applications open in the month of October every year. The DAT prelims are held in January.
• UCEED 2021 IDC IIT Bombay 2021
  IDC IIT Bombay conducts the test for admission to B Design program in IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur. IITDM offers Product Design and Visual Design course. The program will combine aspects of Product Design, Communication Design, Interaction Design, Mobility Design and Animation Design. From 2016 IIT Guwahati started admitting students through UCEED but only those with PCM in class 12th were eligible for IIT Guwahati program. There are 30 seats in the B Design IIT Bombay, 45 seats in IIT Guwahati and 30 seats in IITDM Jabalpur. UCEED score is also considered for B Tech Computer Science and Design by Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology IIIT Delhi. There are 22 seats in the course. IIT Hyderabad also joined UCEED and will offer admissions on the basis of the score from 2019. The institute has started a minor in Design for B Tech students. UCEED score is also considered by DTU Delhi that offers B Design course. There are 60 seats in the course. For DTU B Design course any stream student is eligible. NIRMA University Ahmdabad also offers some seats in B Design course through UCEED score.
  
  The applications for UCEED 2021 open and are getting closed on 7th November 2020. UCEED 2021 was conducted on 18th January 2021. .
  
  Details of the Entrance UCEED : The paper is a computer based examination of 3 hours and consists of Visualization and spatial Ability, Observation and Design sensitivity, Environmental and social awareness, Analytical and logical reasoning, language and creativity, Design Thinking and Problem Solving. The question paper will consist of 3 sections. o Section A: Numerical Answer Type (NaAT) questions. For NAT type questions,the answer is a number that needs to be entered using a virtual keyboard in the computer screen. No choices will be shown for these questions. There is NEGATIVE marking for this section. Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks and each wrong answer will be awarded –1 mark. Questions not attempted will be given zero mark. Section B: Multiple Select Questions (MSQ). Each MSQ has one or more correct answer(s) out of the four given choices. The candidate gets 3 marks only if ALL the correct answers are selected. There is NO NEGATIVE or PARTIAL marks for this section. Questions not attempted will be given zero mark. Section C: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Each MCQ has four choices out of which only one is the correct answer. There is NEGATIVE marking for this section. Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks and each wrong answer will be awarded –1 mark. Questions not attempted will be given zero mark.
  
  Maximum two consecutive attempts are allowed for UCEED.
• CEPT Ahmedabad B Arch B Interior Design entrance
  CEPT Ahmedabad CEPT University offers many courses. Their Bachelor’s in Architecture course (Recognized by CoA & AICTE) has 40 seats for Gujarat students that are filled by ACPC, 40 seats for all India Quota (Total 80 seats). Interior Design course has 40 seats for Gujarat students 40 seats for all India Quota (Total 80 seats). For B Arch admissions 50% weightage is given to NATA scores and 50% weightage to class 12th board marks. The admission for Gujarat candidates is centralized through ACPC. For interior Design course admissions CEPT conducts its own entrance test. 60% weightage is given to Entrance test, 30% weightage to class 12th board marks and 10% weightage to interview. The Application is available in June every year. The test components are (1) Visual Perception and Representation (30%), (2) Logical Reasoning and Analytical Skills (30%), (3)Verbal Reasoning (20%)
• Eligibility Criteria: For B Arch and B Design course Physics and mathematics are compulsory in class 12th.
  
  
• State University of Performing and Visual Arts, SUPVA Rohtak
  State University of Performing and Visual Arts conducts entrance exam for admission to its UG programmes in Fine Arts, Design, Film and TV and Architecture at Delhi Chandigarh and Rohtak. skill test is conducted at Rohtak.
  
  The written test is conducted in the month of May and skill test is conducted in June. The last date for online applications is in first week of May.
  
  Eligibility:
  Who have passed or who will appear for qualifying examinations under the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalents like AISSCE/ IB/ ISC. Successful candidates shall be given admission to the academic programmes of 4 years, by the institute, subject to their passing the qualifying examinations. There are 20 seats in painting, 20 seats in Applied Art, 20 seats in Print making, 10 seats in sculpture and 10 seats in animation course. In the institute of design there are 20 seats in Apparel design, 20 seats in textile design, 20 seats in product design and 20 seats in life style accessory design. The Film and Television department has 12 seats in Film Direction, 12 seats in Cinematography, 12 seats in Audiography and 12 seats in Film Editing. The institute of urban planning and architecture has 40 seats in B Arch ( 5 years ) and 20 seats in interior design ( 4 years). From 2017 the institute has started Departement of Acting and there are 15 seats in the course. 50% seats are for Haryana students and 50 % seats are for All India Students.
  
  
• MAEER's MIT Institute of Design, Pune
  MAEER's MIT Institute of Design, Pune conducts entrance exam for admission to its UG programmes in Industrial Design, Communication Design, Game Design and Fashion. The Design aptitude test ( DAT) is conducted to shortlist the candidates and shortlisted students have to go through a studio test and interview for final selections.
  
  The test is conducted in April and online applications are open for 2019 batch. The applications close on 12th Feb 2019. There are 200 seats in various undergraduate programs and 120 seats in BA hons Fashion programmes.
  
  
• St Joseph's College Bangalore ( NAAC A ++) Admissions
  St Joseph's College Bangalore offers BA Visual Communication and B Vocational Visual Communication and Film Making. The admission is offered through an entrance exam and portfolio.
  
  The entrance test is conducted in April and the Applications open in March.
  
  
• Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore Admissions
  Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology Offers 4 year B Design ( Business service and System Design, Creative Education, Human Centred design, Industrial Arts and Design Practices, Information Design, Public space Design, Visual Communication and Design Strategy an Branding) and 4 Years Bachelor in creative arts ( Creative writing, Digital Media Arts, Film, Experimental Media Arts). These courses lead to degrees awarded by University of Mysore. Srishti conducts entrance exam for admission to its UG programmes.

• College of Art, Delhi Admissions
  Colleges of Art, was established by Delhi Government and provides graduate and PG programs in various forms of Art with degree from University of Delhi. College of Art conducts Entrance Test for admission to its UG and PG programmes.
  
  The admission process begins in June. . The entrance test is held in June / July. College of Art offers following courses BFA Applied Art ( 80 seats), Painting (40 seat), Sculpture ( 15 seats), Art History (20 seats), Print making (20 seats), Visual Communication (20 seats).
  
  Eligibility:
  The program duration is 3 years and 10+2 pass students with 50% marks or more from a recognized board are eligible for admission. The final selection is based on entrance test where 60% weightage is for the entrance test and 40% weightage is given to the class 12th marks.
  
  
• Jamia Milia Islamia Delhi
  Jamia Milia Islamia is situated in Delhi and offers UG and PG programs in Fine Arts, Applied Art, Sculpting. The university conducts Entrance Test for admission to its UG and PG programmes.
  
  The admission process begins in March. . There are 30 seats in BFA Applied Art, (30 seats ) in Painting and ( 15 seats) in Sculpture.
  
  Eligibility:
  The program duration is 3 years and 10+2 pass students with 50% marks or more from a recognized board are eligible for admission. The final selection is based on entrance test.
  
  
• Mt Carmel College Bangalore Fashion and Apparel Design and Interior Design Entrance
  Mt Carmel College Banagalore conducts Aptitude Test for admission to its B Sc Fashion and Apparel Design and Interior Design course.
  
  The registrations begin in 2nd week of March.
  
  Eligibility:
  10+2 pass students with 50% marks or more from a recognized board are eligible for admission. The final selection is based on entrance test followed by an interview. The test will be based on  Drawing skills: Memory sketching & live object sketching  General knowledge about interiors and architecture.  Understanding of proportions, colour schemes/ shade and shadows/ shapes  Awareness of current trends in interiors. For Interior design NATA students are preferred.
  
  
• FDDI NOIDA, All India Common Admission Test )
  Footwear Design and Development Institute ( FDDI) was established under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is an ISO 9001, 14000 certified institution. It has campuses in NOIDA and other campuses at Rohtak, Fursatganj, Chennai, Kolkata, Chhindwara, Jodhpur and Guna. The courses offered at UG Campus are Footwear Design and production, Leather Goods and accessory Design, Fashion Design , Retail and Fashion Merchandise. The courses are of 4 years duration. There are 60 seats each in NOIDA and other Campuses. FDDI takes a Computer based entrance test (Math, English, reasoning/General science & GK) for its various programs at UG and PG Level.
  
  For PG courses students with valid CAT/ MAT/XAT scores also eligible. The registrations open in January and close in April.
  
  Eligibility:
  10+2 pass students with 50% marks or more from a recognized board are eligible for admission. The final selection is based on entrance test followed by an interview. For UG programs the test has 4 sections Mathematics ( 45 Qs), General Science ( 30 Qs), English ( 45 Qs) and General Awareness ( 30 Qs). There is no negative marking.
