As far as the pay scale is concerned, freshers with M.Tech degree can earn somewhere between Rs 20,000 and 30,000 per month. After gaining some experience and professional expertise in this field, candidates can also look for the package of Rs. 6,00,000, to Rs. 12,00,000 a year.

Nanotechnology has many applications and thus the scope is very wide. Nanotechnology finds application in many industries like health, environment, space research, Chemicals, Bio technology and Genetics. Forensic science & many other new industries emerging as a result of advances in nanotechnology. Communication industry is also gaining a lot from advances in nanotechnology.

Norio Taniguchi, of the Tokyo University of Science used the term nanotechnology in 1974 for the first time. Kim Eric Drexler, popularized the potential of molecular nanotechnology.
