Pay and Remuneration
The starting salaries are not very high, usually in the range of Rs.1.5 to 1.8 lakhs but passouts of reputed institutes get good remuneration. A creative and experienced editor can earn between Rs.4 lakhs to 12 lakhs. One can also work freelance and get remuneration on the basis of project that one takes.

India has one of the largest film industries in the world and thus scope is very good. Also, other than commercial films there is scope in TV programme editing, and documentaries etc.
